The GetReal Executive Board of Directors would like to announce a change regarding the GetReal Institute’s leadership.  

On our Executive Board, the industry seat previously held by Francisco Hernandez, former Head of Regulatory Sciences in The Netherlands at Pfizer, has been passed to Carmen Tsang, Access Data Director at Pfizer, following Francisco’s departure. Carmen brings a wealth of knowledge in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and valuable insights, and we are grateful to have her join us. 

In addition, Shahid Hanif, will be stepping down from his role as Managing Director of GetReal Institute, as of 1 October 2024. The GetReal Executive Board would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Shahid. We are immensely grateful for the contributions, energy, and enthusiasm, which he has dedicated to the Institute. 

Whilst the Board will take the time to identify a new Managing Director, we want to ensure a smooth transition, and  will be appointing an Interim Managing Director who will be supported by an external business consultant. The Interim Managing Director, who will be announced shortly, will work alongside our Board and Secretariat to maintain continuity. 

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire GetReal Institute team, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Shahid Hanif for his dedication and service. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
